Body of woman found in Philly park handcuffed, stabbed

Toy Charda Bryant, 26, was found dead in a Philadelphia park in June 2016. She had been handcuffed, stabbed and shot.

Police say Toy Charda Bryant was friends with two women who fatally did her in: The Delaware County woman was handcuffed, stabbed and shot to death elsewhere, then her body was dumped in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, police told media outlets.

The body of Toy Charda Bryant, 26, was found by a motorist around 8:30 a.m. on June 21, 2016, in West Philadelphia.

Police have made a grim prognosis in the murder investigation: They say Bryant was tortured to death by two associates that she was intimately familiar with.

Police have arrested two women in Bryant's death: 28-year-old Shintele Smith, and
39-year-old Shavon Armstrong, also known as Palliadium Smith. The duo are charged with kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, robbery, and of course, murder.

Update: Police have now arrested a third person, Kieth Bullock, 32, who is charged with murder, kidnapping and criminal restraint, according to Philly.com.

"I believe she was in a fight for her life, and unfortunately she lost," Homicide Capt. James Clark told reporters last week.

This week, Clark said it appears the incident stemmed from Bryant owing the two women $800, a debt they were willing to kill for, he said.

"It's unbelievable that someone was killed over this,"  Clark told ABC7Chicago.

Bryant was identified by three distinct tattoos, including "Loyal" on her chest, "ka$h" on her right wrist and a rose on her right thigh.

Police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 215.686.TIPS.
