Best friends 22-year-old Rah-Zhane Lee and 24-year-old Shaniquah Richardson were out late on Halloween, walking through a park around midnight when they suddenly became targets for at least one gunman. The deadly shooting happened in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017.
Witnesses reported hearing a volley of gunshots in the park as the women went down. The pair were rushed to Trinitas Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.

"My daughter she didn't deserve this at all," Kendra Lee Carey, Rah-Zhane's mother, told the TV station.
"It takes one night just to know that I will never see her again," said Denita Latish, Rah-Zhane's sister. "I will never be able to hug my sister, I will never be able to tell her I love her."
