A 10-year-old boy found his mother shot dead early Friday morning in Snellville, Georgia. The victim's husband is on the run, according to Atlanta-area authorities. The victim has been identified as Erica Denise Powell, 46.
Police on the scene said that they know that the couple had an argument but it's too early to tell what exactly happened. The boy is not the biological son of the man of the house, according to news reports.
Police are looking for Walter J. Lowe, 51, a convicted felon. He is wanted for aggravated assault, felony murder, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
