Kabreya Coleman was a hardworking woman trying to balance youth and the responsibilities of being a mother. Sudden gunfire has now left her child without a mom.

The 24-year-old was shot to death Thursday, January 11, 2018 about 1 a.m. in southwest Baltimore, Maryland, according to authorities. The killing took place on N. Hilton Street, which is the block she lived on.

Coleman was rushed to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the Baltimore Sun.
