Tysiona Crawford: 17-Year-Old Shot While Driving In Indiana

Tysiona Crawford was a teenager looking forward to graduating from Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana. The 17-year-old had reportedly applied and been accepted to the University of Alabama, where she would have started in the fall.

But now her family is planning a funeral. Tysiona crashed her car into a home on January 18, 2018. Authorities found bullet holes in the car, with at least one of them piercing Tysiona's body.

She was declared dead at a nearby hospital. Since then, police have said little about who they think is responsible for the murder. But the victim's family and friends say that Tysiona recently broke up with her boyfriend. They believe he is in hiding, according to media reports.

We trust in God we goin' to stand on his word tonight, we goin' to stand on his word until the day that they catch him because they're going to catch him," Cynthia Crawford-Burton, Tysiona's aunt, told local TV station WNDU. "He can run but he can't hide."

"Tysiona was my baby," said Stephanie McElroy, a close friend, told the TV station. "She was everything. Whenever you looked at her, you looked at me. When you looked at me you looked at her. She was my best friend."

"How sick is this if you're hiding this guy," Tysiona's father was quoted as saying. "You all know who the killer is I ain't going to say no names, but y'all know and everybody know just as well as I know. Y'all need to take care of this because this ain't right."
