Lavonda Finklea: 35-Year-Old Woman Shot Dead At Atlanta Burger King
Lavonda Finklea was in her vehicle going back and forth with some young men outside a fast-food restaurant when things turned horribly tragic on Friday, July 13, 2018 about 10:30 p.m. One of them pulled a pistol and in cold blood shot Finklea as she sat behind the wheel.
The youths scattered as Finklea struggled to breathe, choking on her own blood. When Atlanta police arrived on the scene, the 35-year-old woman was slumped over the wheel.
Authorities said her car apparently rolled to a stop after striking another vehicle in the parking lot in the 2000 block of Metropolitan Parkway on the southwest side of the city.
Law enforcement in Atlanta are trying to figure out who killed Finklea. This is the 51st homicide this year in Atlanta.
