Keisha Gray: New Orleans Mother of 3 Shot Dead In Front Of Her Children
Keisha Gray, 34, was found in a New Orleans kitchen with a gunshot wound on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Her boyfriend has been charged in the slaying.
Her family tells local police that Gray’s boyfriend killed her in front of her three children, then staged the crime scene to make it look like he shot her in self-defense.
Lostin Lee, 34, has been charged with second-degree murder linked to the shooting, which took place on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Gray was found on her kitchen floor, according to police. She was shot in the cheek.
According to police, Lee said Gray had called him to say she wanted him to move out, because she learned that he was cheating on her.
“He said he went to their home and found her packing his belongings. He told police he tried to talk to her but that she went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and threatened him,” a police affidavit.
Gray leaves behind a 6-month-old boy, a 2-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy. Lee is the father of the younger children, according to Gray’s aunt, Veronica Speed, who spoke to Nola.com.
