Clarice Alexander: 41-Year-Old Mother Of 7 Gunned Down In Illinois
Clarice Alexander, 41, a mother of seven children, was shot dead in broad daylight about 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 in Hanover Park, Illinois.
Clarice Alexander, 41, was determined to get away from a former love interest, her family told local media. The Hanover Park, Illinois mother of seven went through the proper channels, even filing a restraining order, but it was to no avail.
“She kept trying to get a restraining order,” the victim’s sister told WGN in Chicago. “She did have an order of protection, to my understanding. She called the police that night before she was killed to get him either out of the house or off the premises.”
Around 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, Hanover Park residents reported hearing several gunshots in Alexander’s neighborhood. A short time later, officers responding to a shots fired call found Alexander dead.
Authorities said the shooting occurred near a school and daycare when children were walking to school and parents were headed off to work.
Police have filed an arrest warrant for 43-year-old William N. Taylor, who had a romantic connection to Alexander, according to media reports.

He took her away from her sister cousins friends 7 children and one grandchild. My mother was left in the alley bleeding to death she made multiple calls to the Hanover police department reporting him stalking her sitting outside our home constantly banging on the doors and windows there is a paper trail on William Nicholas Taylor (the man who killed my mom) and the police did nothing and was late to putting an end to his harassment and now he took her life the system failed yet another person #JUSTICEFORCLARICE
