Ja'Dee Turner:32-Year-Old Houston Hospital Worker Killed In Murder-Suicide

Jadee Turner, 32, of Houston, Texas, was fatally shot in the head about 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, by her ex-boyfriend, who then turned the gun on himself.

Ja'Dee Turner, 32, worked at Houston Methodist Hospital, reading EKG's, but her real passion was her health-conscious juicing business she spent the last three years building.

Turner and her ex-boyfriend were together for about a year, but the relationship ended less than two weeks ago, her family told local media.

The breakup appeared to be mutual and there were no signs of domestic abuse, Turner’s family members said.

About 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, Milton Wayne Cole showed up at Turner’s Houston apartment, where her uncle was also staying.

Detectives said Cole texted Turner’s uncle and lured him out of the apartment under the guise that he needed him to open the gate to the complex. While the uncle was outside, Cole then gained entry inside the apartment, where he shot his ex-girlfriend in the head and then shot himself. They were both found dead in her bedroom.

"It's very unfortunate what happened here tonight. But he took some time to lie in wait, plan this out, to get her alone to do what he did," Houston Police Lt. Ignacio Izaguirre said. "I don't know why he would do it or why it would get to this level. Only they'll know and unfortunately, neither one can tell us."

The murder-suicide has devastated Turner’s family.
"She didn't deserve that. She didn't," her cousin, Lashee Jones told TV station KTRK.

Looking back, the family said they believe Turner tried to ignore the red flags that Cole no doubt displayed in their relationship.
"You can't make somebody be with you if they want to move on. Just try and go get some counseling. Counseling is real," Jadee's stepmom, Leticia Jackson Turner, told the TV station.
