On Monday, June 13, 2022, Khylie was in her room watching TV when she was executed by her mother’s boyfriend, according to law enforcement officials in Harris County, Texas.

Jeremiah Jones, 22, was taken into custody by SWAT & Tactical Team officers and has been charged with capital murder.

Court documents obtained by Houston-area media outlet KTRK indicated that Jones and Khylie’s mother, Brittany Sorrells, dated for about eight months. They broke up around two months ago, but things got especially rocky of late.
