Lanai Ariyana Dees: 21-year-old Found Shot in Car in LA
Lanai Ariyana Dees, 21, was a very sweet and kind person, her family told local media in Southern California.
Dees of Inglewood, was found shot to death in her wrecked car in an alleyway in South Los Angeles. Her family is searching for answers in the fatal shooting.
“She was an amazing person,” said Jordan Dees, Lanai’s brother told local TV station KTLA. “She was very sweet and very kind.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department states that deputies responded to a call near Century Boulevard at 12:46 a.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered Dees behind the wheel. She had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
While not a lot is known of the circumstances surrounding Dees’ death, there are many questions that the family would like answers, namely what she was doing in South L.A. at that time.
“We just know that she knew someone over here, and next thing you know, she got killed,” Jordan said. “She was in her car, so we don’t even know what happened…the car is wrecked and she was shot.”
