Shalonda Anderson: 32-Year-Old Dies In Officer-Involved Shooting Outside Dallas Club

Shalonda Anderson, 32, was shot dead around 5 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, outside a Dallas, Texas cabaret. Her family wants answers.

Family members of Shalonda Anderson, 32, said that she was a loving mother who would do anything for her three children. "[Shalonda] had a good heart, everyone came to her house every day," Anderson's mother, Benita Lofton told WFAA TV. "She just wanted the best for her kids, that's all she talked about.”

Anderson was shot dead around 5 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, by a club security guard after she allegedly hit one of them with her car, according to the XTC Cabaret Dallas, where the incident took place. The family disputes the narrative laid out by the establishment and is demanding more answers. What is not in dispute is that a 26-year-old female security officer shot Anderson, who was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.Police have also confirmed that another security officer, a 30-year-old male, may have shot into Anderson’s vehicle as well.

A GoFundMe account set up by Anderson’s friend gives this account:

Hi, my friend was murdered at a nightclub in Dallas Tx. called XTC. They were asked to leave the club due to an altercation about her not receiving the right amount of change as she was leaving out the club like she was asked her and her friends were followed out the club by security and were being pushed on as they were leaving, after they were in their vehicle and leaving the club shots were fired inside her vehicle by security a bullet struck her and left her dead at the scene!!!!!

At this time we are crying out for her 3 children that has been left behind due to senseless gun violence after she was doing what she was asked to due and that’s leave the club. Anything you feel in your heart to give to help raise her children…. Sad to say her daughter has lost both of her parents to gun violence.

Here is the statement XTC Cabaret Dallas released on Sunday:"We are very sad that this unfortunate incident occurred and at the loss of life. We want the public to understand the situation and circumstances of what happened during the early morning hours of June 25, 2022.

A female third-party security guard was run over by a woman who drove her vehicle into a group of security guards while they were motioning to the driver that she was going the wrong way through the club’s parking lot.

The security guard was hit by the driver’s car and pinned between that car and a van. Her leg was crushed and her foot run over. Reportedly fearing for her life, the security guard shot the driver as the guard was being hit and before the driver could seriously injure or kill others. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the families involved.

Club management has reached out to the family of the individual who died and offered to pay for her funeral. The injured security guard has multiple broken bones and is going through surgery today. The safety of our customers remains of utmost importance to us.

We are in contact with the Dallas Police Department and continue to support their investigation."The shooting has devastated Anderson’s family, who continue to push for the whole truth to come out.

"For my grandbaby to come up to me and ask me, 'Granny is my mom in the sky?' That took a lot out of me," Lofton told the TV station.
