Shandon Scott: 32-Year-Old Mother Found Fatally Shot Inside Car In Utah

Shandon Nicole Scott was not only a great mother to her two beautiful children, but the Salt Lake City, Utah, woman was a tremendous friend.

“She was so loved and so cared about,” Scott’s best friend Heather Redford told Utah TV station Fox 13. “She was always laughing. Just such a good spirit,” Redford said.

Scott, 32, was found fatally wounded from a gunshot inside a crashed car early Saturday May 1, 2021 in Utah, according to police.

About 3 a.m., a state trooper responding to reports about a crashed vehicle found her inside the car on Interstate 20.

Although Scott was found alone, first responders reported seeing a man running away from the vehicle shortly after the crash.

Police arrested the man, purported to be the victim’s boyfriend, in a church parking lot near the scene of the crash.

Law enforcement have identified the boyfriend as Terence Trent Vos. What they have been able to string together is that Scott and Vos were having some domestic problems of late.

Detectives have reason to believe that Vos allegedly fatally shot Scott and placed her in the car. While driving on I-20, the boyfriend evidently hit the median, the Gephardt Daily reports.

According to KUTV, investigators are still trying to determine when Scott was shot and where.

A GoFundMe set up by her family says that the money will benefit “ for her two children Aaliana and Naveen. Please donate anything you are able to even if it’s $5. We all know how big of a heart Shandon had and how she would show out for us if roles were reversed. Let’s show our girl the love we all knew she deserved.”

Vos is facing criminal charges, including homicide, according to media reports.
