Alliauna Green aka TanDaGod Shot Dead in Oakland

Alliauna Green was going places. The Oakland rapper known as TanDaGod had a big song and more than 20,000 followers on Instagram. But the young entrepreneur had made a few enemies after her former boyfriend’s death.

Tan DaGod’s most popular song, “That’s My Ex Pack,” was about the murder of her ex-boyfriend. Last year, she released two albums, My Ex Pack EP and her debut album, UNPRECEDENTED.

Riding off her success, TanDaGod had agreed to make an appearance at Glamor Beauty Supply for their grand opening on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The new owner of the pace said that he invited the rapper because she supported black-owned businesses. She was shot dead at the event.

Witnesses said there was some sort of altercation then all of a sudden, gunshots rang out. "Everybody like ducked and hid behind the cars," Sul Cho, an employee at a nearby Korean BBQ restaurant, told local media.

"She was performing there, and this guy with a hood just walked in through that gate and started shooting," Cho told TV station Fox 2.

"I think the rapper was screaming, ‘I’m hit, I’m hit,' and she was just laying on the ground until medics came," a witness told a local media outlet.

Witnesses told local media that after she was shot, TanDaGod made it outside, where she collapsed as the gunman ran away. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Oakland police said another person who was shot was admitted into the emergency room and is in stable condition.

Authorities are investigating the shooting and are asking for the public's help with videos or photos that could assist with their probe. Meanwhile, those who know the rapper believe the shooting was a targeted killing.
