Aaliyah Alder: 21-Year-Old Aspiring Model Shot In Head In Bronx During Argument

New York police said that Aaliyah Alder, 21, was shot in the head during a dispute in a Bronx stairwell. A friend of her girlfirend, Devaughn Johnson, 22, has been charged with murder.

New York prosecutors are weighing evidence against a 22-year-man accused of gunning down his girlfriend's friend, according to news reports.

Aaliyah Alder, 21,  an aspiring model, was shot in the head during an argument in the stairwell of a Bronx, New York apartment on March 27, 2017.

Davaughn Johnson is charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting. Investigators said that they were told that Alder went to the housing development to settle a dispute over a child care issue involving her friend.

"She was like the best person to be around," a neighbor told New York TV station PIX11. "I was so shocked."

Alder's body was found on the eighth-floor of a building in the Forest Houses, cops said.
