Tierra Bryant: Body Of Missing 19-Year-Old Found In Shallow Grave In Ohio
Prosecutors in Cuyahoga County have indicted a Sacramento, California man in the slaying of 19-year-old Tierra Bryant, a teen last seen in Middleburg Heights, Ohio two years ago. Nathan Hunt is charged with gross abuse of a corpse, obstruction, felony assault and voluntary manslaughter, according to news reports.
The teen vanished after being seen with a man at a Motel 6 in the city. According to court documents obtained by WKYC, Bryant sent her friend a text that said, "Ok we still on our way to the room he being weird." She then asked her friend to come to the room, but when the friend arrived, Bryant was gone.
Tierra's body was found last week, prosecutors said. It was identified by dental records and distinct tattoos. "Unfortunately, another teen in our community has lost their life,” Michael O'Malley, Cuyahoga County prosecutor, said in a news release. “My condolences go out to the family of Tierra Bryant. It is my hope that at some point in the near future her remains are recovered so that she may receive a proper burial and to assist this family in the healing process.”
Partial skeleton remains of Teirra's body were found in a 4-foot hole in the ground in Elyria.
Hunt confessed to the crime when questioned by authorities, an indictment in the case alleges.
