Patrina Compton, 42: Nurse Shot Multiple Times While Driving Home In Texas
Patrina Compton, 42 of Galveston, Texas, was found shot multiple times in her vehicle on I-45 early Sunday, April 10, 2022 in La Marque, Texas.
Patrina Compton, 42, spent her life helping others as a neonatal intensive care nurse at University of Texas Medical Branch. The Galveston, Texas, resident was a mother who was also about to be a grandmother.
Compton was found shot multiple times in her vehicle on I-45 early Sunday, April 10, 2022 in La Marque, Texas.
Compton was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later died, police said.
La Marque law enforcement officers say the killing may have been a targeted attack.
The victim’s sister, Stacy Compton, told local media that Compton was leaving her mother’s home about 3 a.m. after dropping off some food for a BBQ that she would not be able to attend.
"I asked her to let me know when she made it home and I never heard from her," Stacy Compton told KHOU-TV. "I laid down for a while and I get a knock at the door, they're telling me she didn’t make it."
Stacy said that her sister didn’t have enemies; she had friends. "A beautiful person, just cared for everyone," she told KHOU. "Just remember her the way that you know her. That's the only thing I can say because, like I say, she was never a bad person in no type of way."
Police have no suspects at this time, but are asking for the public’s help.
