Sierra Jamison: Chicago Mother Strangled In Chicago
Just one month after Sierra Jamison talked to news cameras after being the victim of a carjacking, the 30-year-old Chicago mother was killed on a residential street in the city.
Jamison, 30, was found unresponsive by her mother about 7:30 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2023.
The Medical Examiner listed Jamison's cause of death as strangulation.
Last month, Jamison, who has a 6-year-old boy with autism, was interviewed by about violence against women.
"I know how many sacrifices I've done for my family, my son, because he's been through a lot," Jamison reportedly said at the time. "My son had open-heart surgery. He has a disability, so he means a lot to me, and I'm not fixing to let this young man – with a knife at that – take anything I work hard for away from me."
Police announced an arrest in the case and Jamison’s aunt said that the person is someone who was thought to be a friend.
"This is someone she was comfortable around," Sadina Jameson told CBS 2. "This is someone she trusted so she had no reason to fear."
Police announced the arrest of 63-year-old Lawrence Boyle, who they identified as Jamison’s boyfriend. He is being held in jail on a charge of first-degree murder.
