Stacie Ball: 42-Year-Old Mom Of 6 Shot Dead In Detroit Motel
The body of Stacie Ball, a 42-year-old mother of six, was found inside a Detroit motel on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She had been shot several times, according to police.
Stacie Ball was trying her best to turn her life around after battling substance abuse. Known to her relatives as a loving person and the “family comedian,” Ball lived life to the fullest.
Her family was used to seeing her around and then she disappeared.
After a few weeks, her family and friends, which had begun looking for her around the city, started to grow desperate: Where was Stacy?
Her whereabouts soon surfaced on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, when Detroit police began investigating a motel, where they found Ball’s body. She had been shot several times, according to police.
"You didn't have to her like that, you didn't," Sherry Ball, Stacie's sister, told local TV station Fox 2 Detroit.
What made matters worse is that the news was brought to some of the victim’s children on social media.
"He said, 'Mama, they got it on Facebook: they found my mama dead.'" Lugusta Ball, Stacie’s mother, told the media outlet.
Lugusta said she often pleaded with her daughter to come home and get clean.
"She said, ‘I’m trying, mama. I’m trying.’ I said, ‘I want you to try harder, baby. Come on back home,’" Lugusta told Fox 2. "I said, ‘mama getting older now and I ain’t going to be here much longer, I want you to come home.’ She said, ‘Mama I’m going to try. I’m going to try real hard.’"
"I hope that my sister gets justice," said Sherry. "I hope that we can stand before you one day and tell you how bad you hurt us."
