Kendra La Sheka Lewis, 27, was shot in the face and later died at a hospital in Orlando, Florida when she was hit by a stray bullet on 12/6/16 while driving. Her 5-year-old daughter was in the backseat and unharmed. Police are looking for the shooters.

Washington, D.C. police have determined that the death of Ummi Najma Al-Thaqib, 59, was strangled to death. Her body was found in her car on October 26, 2016 outside some apartments.

Mina Ellery and three others are accused of killing of 83 year-old Dorothy Dow in August 2016 in Meriweather County. In December, Ellery posted several selfies from jail.
 

Derice Bailey, 35, was found dead on her kitchen floor in Metairie, Louisiana on 12/2/16 as deputies arrived at her home after responding to a report about a man with a gun.  Her ex-partner was arrested.

Ashley Mays, 20, the mother of a young son, was nearly 9 months pregnant with a baby girl when she was strangled to death inside a motel outside Atlanta, Georgia on 11/18/2016. Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in the slaying.

Breyona McMillian was home for the holidays in Washington, D.C., when she was shot dead on the street on 11/25/16, the day after Thanksgiving. A person of interest turned himself in on Tuesday.

Sophia Lamb, 44, of the Bronx, New York was found stabbed to death on 11/26/2016 in her apartment. Police want to talk to Andrew Curtis, her estranged husband, who is being labeled as a "person of interest."

The body of Katrina Banks, 35, was found by Henrico, Virginia police officers about 12:!5 a.m. on 11/20/16 in the basement of her home. Her husband, Alvin E. Banks, has been charged with murder after admitting the two had been arguing. 

Shanice Amerson, 21, was shot dead at a Dyersburg, Tennessee home when gunfire broke out at a 2-year-old's birthday party. Seven people were shot. Police have not made any arrests.

Shanai Marshall, 37, was stabbed to death November 15, 2016 after her baby's father forced his way into her New Jersey home. Police are searching for the suspect.

The body of Nishae Samms, 23, was found stabbed to death in her apartment in Chesterfield, Virginia on November 11, 2016. Police have no suspects.

Raven Veal, ,22, a 9-months pregnant woman, was run over twice and shot up to five times on November 9, 2016, allegedly by her unborn child's father, according to New Orleans police.

Syasia McBurroughs, 23, of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey was stabbed to death on November 5, 2016 along with two children. Police arrested Jeremy Arrington as a "person of interest" in the slayings.

Michelle Lee Shirley, 39, was shot and killed by Torrance, California police officers on Halloween 2016 after she attempted to ram a police cruiser while in the throes of a manic episode. Shirley suffered from bipolar disorder. Her family is questioning why officers couldn't subdue her without lethal force.

Nyla Foster, 21, was fatally shot on Lithia Springs, Georgia on October 22, 2016 after fighting with a woman over a man. Police say Shontori Gooden for murder.

Jacobia English Lane, 37, died in a hail of bullets on October 22, 2016 in Gastonia, North Carolina. She had been in town for her sister-in-law's funeral. Police have no suspects

Renee Davis, a 23-year-old pregnant single mother of three kids, was shot and killed inside her home on October 21, 2016 when King County deputies responded to a call on the Muckeshoot Native-American reservation about a possibly suicidal woman.

Police say Joyce Quaweay, 24, was stripped naked, handcuffed and beaten to death by her boyfriend and his friend in their Germantown home in Philadelphia on July 29, 2016.

Allyssa Banks, 18, was shot dead outside her mother' s home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland on October 18, 2016. Another man was shot but survived. Police have no suspects.
