Catrina Johnson: 24-Year-Old Mother's Body Found Nude On Los Angeles Street
Catrina Ann Johnson had just celebrated her 24th birthday. The young California mother occasionally hung out with friends but she was more focused on raising her 8-month-old son.
Friends said Catrina wanted to pursue a career in fashion, but most of her time went to caring for her son and sick grandmother.
During one of those rare times she allowed herself to gather with friends, tragedy struck.
"All I know is she went out with her friends to have a good time and she never came back home," said her mother, Nicole Hall told local media.
Catrina went out on a Friday night. Her body was found on a Los Angeles County street on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, according to law enforcement officials. The only clues so far is that her friends said that when they returned to drop her off, they saw her get inside a white pickup.
"The friends said they saw her and then all of a sudden — she's there, she's with her, and then she disappears," Hall told KTLA. "And then hours later they find her in the middle of the street."
Hall told the TV station that her daughter was found naked lying facedown on Nye Street. It had the appearance that it had been dumped there.
"They're saying she was thrown out of a truck," Hall told KTLA. "I don't know how true that is, but she was just thrown in the middle of the street like she was garbage. And I just want somebody to answer for what they did."
"My daughter, Catrina Johnson, she wasn't a bad person, she was the sweetest person in the world and whoever did this, I just want you to come forward and turn yourself in so we can have peace, so her son can have peace, so our family can have peace," Hall was quoted as saying.

A GoFundMe set up in the family’s behalf says:
