Taylor Bins: 24-Year-Old Killed Over Watch, Georgia Police Say
Taylor Bins was a hard-working mother who would do anything for her young daughter. To pay the bills, Bins worked as a dancer mostly in clubs around the South, including Atlanta and Nashville, Tennessee.
Law enforcement authorities in DeKalb County, Georgia say Bins was beaten to death over a dispute involving a watch.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution puts it this way:
While arguing with her about it, he began to beat her and dragged her down the stairs and into the street, the warrants allege. Along the way, it appeared Bins had a seizure and died.
She died in the early morning of Tuesday July 24, 2018 in Stone Mountain, the newspaper says.
The person responsible for the slaying apparently went into hiding immediately after the incident. Social media posts about Bin's death showed pictures of a man with a long beard. In one photo, he was seen hugging bins.
Authorities have arrested a suspect, 34-year-old Jason Leroy Brown, who witnesses said came looking for Bins and attacked her, according to a warrant obtained by the AJC.
Brown is in custody of the DeKalb jail at this time. Authorities have not released what his relationship was to Bins.
Bins was laid to rest in Antioch, Tennessee on August 2, 2018.
