Faith Lewis: Pregnant 19-Year-Old Killed in Murder-Suicide Outside Atlanta
Faith Lewis turned 19 in March and had graduated from the Cobb County School District in 2024, which is about the same time she’d began dating a new kid, her family said.
She had aspirations of being a graphic designer, which she put on a vision board. Faith was also overjoyed at the thought of being a mother and was a “beautiful soul,” a family member told local TV station WSB-TV..
On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, police say Faith’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Tyler Staton shot her and then turned the gun on himself. Officer found Station sitting on the floor with a gunshot wound to his head and a pistol beside him. He later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
Faith was four months pregnant, according to her family.
Her aunt, Ashley Bridges, described Faith as having a "kind spirit" in an interview with WSBTV. “For him to kill her knowing she was pregnant and then turn the gun on himself, I think that was cowardly of him,” Bridges said.
Bridges called Staton’s actions "cowardly" for killing Faith, knowing she was pregnant, before taking his own life.
