Porsche Lloyd: 30-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Charlotte Hotel; Boyfriend Arrested
Porsche Lloyd was a professional woman in the banking industry. The 30-year-old had just moved to Charlotte, North Carolina from Columbus, Ohio after getting promoted by Wells Fargo.
“She was a lovely, hard working, determined woman trying to make it as a parent,” says her grandfather Donald Lloyd, told WCCB News.
To her new city, Lloyd brought her sons and the man she was dating, Terry Stephens.
The victim’s grandfather alluded to Stephens, saying his granddaughter “certainly was taken advantage of, she let her guard down by involving herself with a person that had an unsavory background.”
Stephens had done Federal time for drug conspiracy, according to WCCB.
Lloyd and Stephens got into a domestic dispute at some point on April 23, according to police.
Around 4 a.m. on April 24, 2021, officers responded to a call in reference to an unresponsive woman. They found later Lloyd in a hotel room. She was no longer breathing.
Stephens was arrested and charged with first degree murder in this case, according to police.
Lloyd was killed on the 13th birthday of one of her sons, according to her family.
Police are still looking into this case. If anyone has more information, call 704-432-TIPS to speak directly with a Homicide Unit detective or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
