Keniqua Dachelle King: Woman, 28, Shot Multiple Times And Left In Texas Field
Keniqua Dachelle King, 28, of Rosharon, Texas, was a generous woman with a big heart, according to her family.
Her mother, Vickie Gill, told local media that she last saw her daughter on Sunday, November 27, 2022, when she told her mother that she was going to see a car in a nearby community. After that, she vanished.
Gill said she filed a missing persons report, and on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, law enforcement officials informed her that her youngest daughter had been found dead in a field less than a mile from her house.
According to local media, King was shot nine times in the head, although Investigators with the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office would not confirm those details until the final report is released from the medical examiner's office.
"We do have a person of interest at this point. We're not going to release it due to the investigation," Sgt. Clint Lobpries, of the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, said. "It's somebody that's connected to her. It's not somebody that's just out there killing people."
King's boyfriend died on Monday in a double fatal crash a half mile from where King’s body was found.
"It appeared that she had been there for some time," Sgt. Lobpries told reporters.
Officers are investigating to see if King’s slaying and the deadly crash that claimed the life of her boyfriend are linked.
