Kuvina Hickles: Pregnant Mother, 28, Gunned Down In Milwaukee
Kuvina Hickles was super excited as she looked forward to the birth of your baby. Her mother shared in her joy.
“My first grandchild,” her mother Carrie HIckles told a local media outlet. “We couldn’t wait until the months passed so that we could go shopping.”
On Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, Kuvina Hickles was killed in a Milwaukee neighborhood. Police received a shots fired call and responded about 1:30 a.m., according to call logs. Kuvina, suffering from a gunshot wound, died shortly afterward. She was six weeks pregnant.
Law enforcement confirmed that a 27-year-old man was taken into custody related to the incident. Kuvina’s family said the suspect was Kuvina’s boyfriend, who she lived with, and who was also the father of her child.
“He chose to take my child’s life. He doesn’t know he took part of mine. And my first grandchild. We were so happy. We couldn’t wait to go shopping. And he took that from me,” the victim’s mother said through tears.
