Tanaisa Conwell: Mother of 3 Gunned Down Outside Atlanta Area Recording Studio
Tanasia Conwell was a 26-year-old mother of three who loved to have fun, but she also worked hard for her children.
"She had just got a new car, just moved into her new apartment, she was working at amazon, so for a 26-year-old she had potential," the victim's mother Arkevia Conwell told FOX 5.
The younger Conwell was outside a music recording studio in East Point, Georgia, when she was gunned on the night of Friday, April 22, 2022.
Conwell’s family heard about the terrible news from the victim’s 5-year-old son, who witnessed his mother being murdered.
"I called my daughter, I got no answer, I continued to call, still didn’t get an answer, so I called my 5-year-old grandson phone when I called his phone he said, ‘Ma Keke… that boy shot my mom,’" the victim's mother Arkevia Conwelltold the TV station.
Tanasia’s grandmother Felicia Conwell-Thomas said she can’t move forward until justice is done.
"I can’t say rest in peace Tanasia because I’m not at peace until I see justice done," she said. "It’s time for the violence to stop."
A GoFundMe page set up to help Tanasia’s mother take care of her three children says in part:”Tanasia was only 26 years old when her life was taken early. She was a beautiful, hard working mother who leaves behind 3 very small children, a mother, grandparents, and siblings that loved her dearly. We as a village are putting together a fundraiser to help pay for her funeral expenses as well as anything her children will be needing.”
Authorities have released the images of three men who apparently were outside HQSTUDIOZ at the time and may know something about the killing. The photos were taken from a security camera.
East Point police said that a murder investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call detectives at 404-559-6300.
