Taylor J. Wilkinson: Boston College Student Killed in Hit-and-Run

Taylor J. Wilkinson was a promising college student who was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in fashion merchandising at Fisher College in Boston.

On the night of Saturday, January 18, 2025, Wilkinson was walking alongside her older sister on a Roxbury roadside when they were struck by a vehicle. The impact killed Wilkinson, while her sister survived. The driver fled the scene.

"Taylor’s life was stolen from us far too soon, and the pain of her absence is immeasurable," a GoFundMe set up by her family says. Taylor, who also has a twin sister, was holding hands with her big sister when she was killed.

Boston Police have opened an investigation to find the vehicle and driver involved in the incident but the person behind the wheel has yet to step forward.

Fisher College President Steve Rich said in a statement that the school community is reeling from Wilkinson's death.

“It is with profound sadness that I share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Taylor Wilkinson, one of our cherished students,” Rich said. “Taylor’s life was tragically cut short on Saturday, January 18, following an accident. This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts go out to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.”

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Wilkinson suffering from life-threatening injuries and her 23-year-old sister shaken with minor injuries. Both women were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where Wilkinson was later pronounced dead.

Police described the vehicle as a 2021–2023, dark-colored Mercedes SUV. The vehicle has damage to its front end and front light and is missing its right-side mirror.

“Taylor was more than a daughter, a sister, and a friend—she was a force of nature. She lit up every room she entered with her infectious laughter and boundless energy,” the GoFundMe page said.

“Whether she was singing her heart out at karaoke or dancing like no one was watching, Taylor’s joy was contagious. A cheerleader for fun and for life itself, she lifted everyone around her with her love and unwavering positivity,” the post says.
