Angela Bledsoe: 44-Year-Old Mother Shot Dead In New Jersey Home
Angela Bledsoe, 44, was a sister, mother, friend and soror to her Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University family.
Bledsoe was raising a child in Montclair, New Jersey when tragedy struck. Authorities arriving at her home for a welfare check saw found her suffering from gunshot wounds, according to ABC News.
Law enforcement believe that James Ray, 55, who lived with Bledsoe, killed his girlfriend in the early hours of Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018.
Ray was not home when officers arrived, but it is believed that he called his brother after the incident and it was the sibling who alerted authorities.
As for Bledsoe, those who knew her at FAMU expressed condolences for her untimely death.
Her FAMU allumni chapter posted the following message on Facebook:
It is with Sad heart that I announce the passing of New Jersey Chapter Treasurer and National Alumni Association Parliamentarian Ms. Angela Bledsoe. May She Rest in Paradise! "
Ray, 55, is believed to be behind the wheel of a black four-door BMW 328i with New Jersey license plate ZNX68M.
