Norma Jara: 29-Year-Old Mother Found Shot To Death In California; Cops Probe Murder-Suicide
Norma Jara was just a young California mother trying to make her relationship work for the sake of her 1-year-old baby.
But authorities in Stockton say a mysterious shooting that took the life of Jara and the man she was in a relationship with has brought a tragic and abrupt end to a young family.
The body of Jara, 29, was found Monday, June 17, 2019 by police inside a private residence, according to the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office.
She and a male victim in his 30s were both shot, according to the Coroner’s Office. The firearm was found inside the home.
Identification of the male victim was pending notification of his family, according to Recordnet.com. Early reports indicate that he was the father of the child.
The 1-year-old child was found alive and unharmed in the home and was put in the custody of San Joaquin County Child Protective Services.
Authorities are investigating the case as a murder-suicide.
