Angel Conner: Woman Shot Dead At Oklahoma Apartment

Angel Conner was a Fort Sill soldier serving her country in Lawton, Oklahoma. The 28-year-old was involved in an altercation with a man on early Saturday, January 18, 2020.

According to TV station WKSO, Lawton police responding to a shooting at an apartment about 2:30 a.m. found Conner suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police arrested Richard Smith, 23, and charged him with first-degree murder, domestic abuse and reckless conduct according to the TV station. He was apprehended when he tried to flee the murder scene.

Smith told authorities that he brandished the gun after he was punched by Conner and she pulled a knife.

Conner was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died during emergency surgery.
