According to media reports, after she was shot, Hedges drove a short distance before crashing the vehicle Witnesses reported seeing a man flee from the scene on foot seconds after the shooting occurred.
The suspect is described as a black male with a gray hoodie, according to TV station WKRC.
Hedges murder was part of a span in which three women were shot in the Cincinnati area within a 24 hour period.
