Remy Lee: Pregnant New Jersey Woman Ambushed In Front Of Apartment
With her dying words, a Paterson, New Jersey woman was able to identify her alleged killer before she lost consciousness, according to local media.
Law enforcement said that Remy Lee, a 31-year-old mother who was eight months pregnant, had been shot multiple times at a housing complex on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
As she lay on the pavement between two vehicles in the parking lot, Lee was able to tell an EMS responder “It was my baby father. It was my baby father,” pinpointing the man who had did this to her.
She was rushed to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where she gave birth to a baby girl. Lee would succumb to her gunshot wounds.
The baby registry is still online.
Donqua Thomas, 30, of Paterson was arrested and is charged with first-degree murder, among other offenses. Police said that he waited to ambush Lee outside her apartment, waiting nearly two hours for her to arrive before allegedly opening fire on her.
If convicted, Thomas could face 30 years in prison.
