Unsolved Murder: Adriaunna Jackson, 21, Shot Dead Outside Club In Ohio
Adriaunna Jackson of Dayton, Ohio, was shot in the head on July 6, 2018 outside a club in Harris Township, Ohio. The murder has been unsolved for nearly four years.
Adriaunna Jackson of Dayton, Ohio was a young mother who was full of life, according to family members. The 21-year-old had started to follow her passion, taking steps to open a fashion business.
In the meanwhile, she supported herself by working at Fuyao, Inc.
Just four days after her 21st birthday, Jackson met a tragic and unexpected end when she was shot to death around 4 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Harris Township, Ohio. The incident happened not far from a notorious strip club.
Jackson was found by first responders in a bullet-riddled sedan at an intersection not far from the club.
According to news reports, she suffered a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
According to the Dayton Daily News, a 911 caller was the first person to notify police that there was trouble brewing outside the club. The dispatcher was even able to year yelling outside the club.
“I can hear a girl screaming. A young girl. Really young,” the caller said, according to the Daily News. “And there’s some girl and he’s telling her what to do over there.”
About 4 a.m., another 911 caller reported the incident. “I just heard the gunshots and looked out the window,” the caller said.
Authorities said that the fatal shooting was sparked by an argument that took place at Plush Gentlemen’s Club in Harris Township, Ohio.
In addition to Jackson, Keysaun Harris, 22, also suffered a gunshot wound, but survived. Two other witnesses have told police that the gunman was in a dark-colored Chevy Impala.
The clearest account of what truly happened that night comes from the victim’s mother.
"It's just tragic," Adriaunna's mother, Sherrica Jones, told WRGT. “"They were headed home, they were driving in the car and someone pulled up and shot the car up.”
"I want people to know the type of person these people took away from this earth," Jones was quote as saying.
“This all started at Club Plush involving an argument and it just happened to spill into the Dayton area,” says Dayton Police Sergeant Jeffery Spires.
“There are no small details,” says Hall. “We would hope that somebody who might have some information, no matter how insignificant they might think it is, would come forward.”

After the shooting, authorities complained that violence seemed to emanate from the nightclub.
“They’re sick of shots fired at night, they're sick of big fights. When there are fights, they're leaving the parking lot at high rates of speed,” Capt. Jeremy Roy told reporters.
The strip club later shut down.
