Brittany Bolden: Tuscaloosa Shot Dead While Her Kids Present
Brittany Bolden of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was known as a loving mother who would do anything for her four children.
Bolden’s life came to an abrupt end at 34 years old on New Year’s Eve when she was fatally shot in a residential neighborhood in the city. When officers arrived on the scene, they thought the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
But as authorities began to investigate and interview witnesses – children were also present during the shooting – they found cause to arrest Bolden’s boyfriend, Lovelle Rodgers, 34, of Tuscaloosa. He is was charged with capital murder and being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
Police said that Bolden and Rodgers had “domestic issues in the past.”
Bolden leaves behind children, ages 5,12,13, and 17.
