Charmaine Goodloe: 34-Year-Old Woman Murdered at Nashville Apartments
Charmaine Goodloe, 34, of Nashville was gunned down outside her apartment in what law enforcement is calling a targeted shooting.
Officers responded to the shooting at the Overlook Ridge Apartments just after midnight on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, according to TV station WKRN.
Minutes before, Goodloe was seen sitting outside the apartment when gunfire broke out. A neighbor whose apartment was just above Goodloe’s, April Woods, told a local media outlet that the chaotic scene has shaken her.
“It sounded like a war zone, and I heard screaming, and I came back outside, and I went down there, I tried to check on her,” Woods told WSNV-RTV.
When Woods went to check on Goodloe, she found her bleeding to death after being shot multiple times, including in the legs. Metro police confirmed that more than 50 rounds of bullets were fired.
Goodloe was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died.
Police have no answers as to who the killer or killers are.
“It has been very hard. I miss her. Like, this is weird,” Woods told the TV station.
