Keichia Michele Greene: 20-Year-Old Shot Dead In DeKalb County, Georgia
Keichia Michele Greene, 20, had a lot of life to live. The 20-year-old Memphis native had just relocated to Atlanta to start a job as a caregiver/ She was also very artistic. She could draw what she saw.
Keichia was a graduate of Trezevant High School (2018), a graduate of Remington College (2021), as a certified Eyelash Technician and an award winning artist (painting and drawing).
“She was very talented. She loved life,” her mother told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
That’s only one of the reasons Shelia Greene can’t understand why someone would take her daughter from this Earth.
Keichia was found fatally shot in her car in June 22, 2021, in Atlanta, according to the AJC.
DeKalb police have not had any sufficient leads in the case, and now Shelia Greene is offering $5,000 of her own money for information about her daughter’s murder.
"The police has never came to the media with her story," she wrote to FOX 5 Atlanta. "And her story needs to be heard."
All she knows about her daughter’s death is that her car with Tennessee plates had crashed head-on into a parked car in the parking deck of a north Atlanta apartment complex. Officers found the victim behind the wheel.
Examining the victim’s car, Greene’s mother as well as forensic investigators have posited that additional damage was done to the victim’s car: The windshield has a hole in it with no projectille has been found inside the car, the newspaper reports. That revelation has concerned, the victim’s mother.
A firearm was also found between Keichia’s legs, according to the AJC. And shell casings were found at the scene, although police can’t pinpoint what gun they came from.
The DeKalb County police still are investigating the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the DeKalb police homicide assault unit at 770-724-7850.
