Makaree Rayson: 21-Year-Old Woman Found Fatally Shot In Shreveport Home

The body of Makaree Rayson, 21, was found on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022 in a Shreveport, Louisiana home. She had been shot three times in the neck, according to law enforcement.

Police officers in Shreveport, Louisiana are asking the public to help them solve a murder. Makaree Rayson, 21, was found by officers on the floor of a residence in the city around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022.

She had been shot three times in the neck with what police describe as a 40 caliber weapon. She was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital for autopsy and was  identified via fingerprint.

A neighbor reportedly told officers that she heard two gunshots and when she looked out her door, she saw someone lying over the victim, saying, “she shot herself.”

Police are currently searching for a 150-pound black male suspect with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a white tank top.
