Meredith Greene: 29-Year-Old Mother Shot To Death In Pennsylvania
Meredith Greene and her fiance Tyler Thames were gunned down in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, according to police.
Meredith Greene of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was a talented stage actress who knew how to command the room. But her biggest joy was being a mom to her two girls, ages 6 and 7.
“She knew how to light up a room when she came in the room,” Greene’s friend Aminah Carter told local media.
Greene and Tyler Thames were fatally shot by Gregory Gerrod Greene Jr. at the home of Greene's mother, former Harrisburg City Councilwoman Sandra Reid, around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, according to police.
Also killed in the rampage was Meredith Greene’s fiance, Tyler Thames. The couple had gotten engaged in August 2021, according to a Facebook post from Meredith Greene.
Gregory Greene also reportedly attacked his two young nieces with a knife, police said. They both have non-life threatening injuries.
A GoFundMe set up to take care of Meredith Greene’s two daughters, who suffered stab wounds in the attack.
“These two beautiful princesses, Royal and August just lost both of their parents.” the GoFundMe reads. “Their Uncle fatally shot both parents during an attack inside their home, killing their loving Mom and Dad. Their Aunt was also shot multiple times and currently in critical condition, but she saved the girls lives by alerting police, who interrupted the attack. The girls were both stabbed by their uncle and are both currently in stable condition. Please find in in your heart to help the family, and the one who will be caring for the girls. Their Grandmother, former Harrisburg City Councilwoman, recently suffered a stroke and was being cared for by her daughters. They deserve the world. They will need a village and all of the community's support.”
“She knew how to light up a room when she came in the room,” Carter said.
She also said Greene was like this both off-stage and on-stage.
