Natasha Harris: Maryland Woman Who Feared For Her Life Is Shot Dead
Natasha Renee Harris, 30, had been stalked by a former boyfriend in recent months to the point that she was afraid for her life, her close friends told local media. She was so spooked that Harris would often get people to walk her to her car.
According to CBS News, which cites court records, Harris was involved in a custody battle in Howard County.
Harris was found around 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, in a parking lot outside some apartments suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. She was rushed to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead overnight.
“We originally received a 911 phone call from a citizen who heard several shots in the area,” Police department spokesperson Adrienne Johnson said. “Upon arrival, officers located a female victim in the parking lot that was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.”
Authorities have not made an arrest, but an investigation is ongoing.
"I get a call from Anne Arundel County police telling me my daughter was shot dead in the parking lot on her way to work," her father Dwight Harris told CBS News. “It hurts me to my heart.”
