Katrina Perry: 34-Year-Old Mother Stabbed To Death In New Jersey; Man Charged
Katrina Perry of Orange, New Jersey was a hard-working woman who spent her time enjoying her 10-year-old son.
A few days after celebrating his birthday, the mother was brutally attacked about 9:40 a.m. inside her home.
The 34-year-old was found inside the residence suffering from several stab wounds on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
Just 24 hours earlier, Perry posted on social media that she had had a “fun-filled couple of days” celebrating “my big boy,” referring to her son.
“From the Bounce House Bday Party , Six Flags on Sunday , down to Hibachi Dinner last night ..... You deserve all of it and I am so proud to call you My son aka my rider .... I love u Pop Pop and I’m so glad I could put that smile on your face ..... U make the hustle and the grind worth it ..... Happy Bday ......Mommy loves you,” she posted on Facebook.
It is unclear where her child was during the fatal attack.
Christopher Dudley, of West Orange, has been charged with murder, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities are still investigating the case, but they say that Perry and Dudley were romantically involved at some point.
Still, many bothersome questions remain about the case: How did the murderer get inside the home? Were there any security cameras that captured the incident? And what was the exact relationship between Perry and Dudley?
If you or anyone you know may have more information about the case, please reach out to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
