LyAsya McKinnon: 20-Year-Old Fatally Shot In North Carolina Home

LyAsya McKinnon, 20, was shot and killed in a Scotland County, North Carolina home on Dec. 22, 2019.

 LyAsya McKinnon was known as “baby girl” in the family, the youngest of her mother’s children. It is truthfully a shame that her life was cut short, once again by the scourge that plagues this nation.

Authorities said McKinnon was killed when someone shot her in the chest in a hoime in Scotland County, North Carolina on Sunday, December 22, 2019.

She was rushed to Scotland Memorial Hospital, where she died.

On a GoFundMe page set up for McKinnon’s funeral costs, her mother mourned the lost of “baby girl.”

“On Sunday afternoon, December 22,2019 my daughter life was taken unexpectedly by the man she thought loved her,” her mother writes.
”She was a bright, beautiful and intelligent young lady with a bright future ahead of her. She was a loving person and was always happy. In parting she would always say "I love you mommy." Tonight I am asking for your help to give my daughter a proper burial. I thank you all in advance for your help. God bless you and please keep my family in your prayers.”
