Ajike “AJ” Owens was a single mother in Florida who loved on her children. She was shot dead on Friday, June 2, 2023 after knocking on her neighbor’s front door near Ocala, Florida.

On Friday, May 12, 2023, Ja-Diamond Jones was walking with her fellow 20-year-old Imani Williams when they both were shot to death after leaving a hookah bar in the Treme neighborhood.

Keisha Gray, 34, was found in a New Orleans kitchen with a gunshot wound on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Her boyfriend has been charged in the slaying.

Teisha Brewley, 31, was shot multiple times in Atlanta on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, while riding in an Uber. Police continue to investigate her murder.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, Atlanta police responding to a shots fired call at the Twelve Centennial Park building in Midtown Atlanta found Breanna Woods, 28, with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Ty’Osha Mitchell, 25, of Richmond, Virginia, was shot to death after being “beaten out” of a Norfolk-based gang. Her body was found on May 6, 2023.

Dr. Calendra Green, 52, was found dead in her Pontiac, Michigan home on Thursday, March 12, 2023. Her husband’s body was also found in the apartment, according to law enforcement.

Areanah Preston, a 24-year-old Chicago police officer, was set to graduate from law school on May 13. She was shot and killed on May 6 in front of her home on Chicago’s south side.

Rachel King, 35, was in the drive-thru at Dunkin’ Donuts at 7:39 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2023, when she was shot to death. Two suspects have been arrested.

Rasheeda Williams, 35, was found shot to death in southwest Atlanta on Tuesday, April 18, 2022 in a strip mall. Police have not named a suspect.

Amya Monserrat, 15, was gunned down at a birthday party in Youngstown, Ohio on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Police are pleading with those who attended to come forward with the gunman’s name.

Pashun Jeffery, 20, was stabbed more than 100 times in a fatal attack in her St. Petersburg apartment. The body of her 2-year-son was found in the mouth of an alligator.

Sa'Mon Richardson, 35, a charter school teacher, was found shot to death on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in a residence on Chicago’s South Side.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Richland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired call at an apartment complex. They found the body of 25-year-old Wynter Straw outside one of the apartment buildings.

Tamika Richards, a mother of six children, was struck by a hit-and-run driver on a street on New York's Coney Island bout 9 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023. She died from her injuries.

Aliyah Pérez, 26, was shot and killed around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2023, near 26th Street and Clayton Crest Avenue. A man connected to the case died via suicide while being pursued by police.

Clarice Alexander, 41, a mother of seven children, was shot dead in broad daylight about 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 in Hanover Park, Illinois.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, Eunice Dwumfour, a New Jersey Councilwoman, was shot dead in her residential neighborhood, according to law enforcement. Police have yet to name a suspect or motive.
